what a wonderful surprise of news from X's & Oh's company this morning:
IT'S NOT NEW - BUT I STILL WANT IT... ________________________________________ K-300M LINE GALLERY We have several designs that feature quilting in one form or another, but someone recently posted a WIP of this design, and I received a rash of orders for it, so I thought I'd share it with you all as well. It's based on the artwork of Shelley McVittie, a wonderful Canadian artist. Shelley was actually the first artist I ever worked with, so we've been together for about 20 years or more! One of the cool things about this design, is that if you stitch it on the moody blue (shown), which is very close to the painting, I think the sky feels stormy, and she's taking the quilts off the line. HOWEVER, if you switch it up to a paler blue fabric, it feels more like a summer day, and she's putting the quilts out on the line... so your choice! I also love the kids playing hide and seek in the quilts (notice the one peeking over the top?), and the hollyhocks along the fence... The design, and most (if not all) of the designs based on Shelley's artwork, can be found in our website catalog under DAYS GONE BY, or click on the photo below to go directly to this item's webpage! Stitch Count: 280W x 154H. Model stitched on 28ct Antique Blue Even weave, using DMC floss (no specialty floss in this one). K-300M Retails for $15.00 X's & Oh's featured ad in Cross Stitch Magazine
